Here I have analysed a kerrang double page spread involving My Chemical Romance. They are mostly known for Emo rock. So for this, they have kept a dark and red colour scheme. All the pictures have been made black and white for a dark effect to add to the colour scheme. Also they pictures consist of them performing or acting in a musical way, consisting of medium shots and close ups. The headline for the page is promotting the fact that they're the best, grabbing the attention of the audience to wonder what makes them so special reading on. Also the use of "My Chemical Romance invite US to their recording studio" makes it look like they are so big and popular that they don't need the promotion but kerrang need them to make their magazine stand out, feeling like they've personally only asked for kerrang. Also on the left of the spread is a few tracks from their upcoming album, though you can't put music onto paper, they've desribed what the tracks sound like, referring the festivals and genres of rock asuming the audience knows alot about the genre of this magazine. In the text they're are alot of quotes of the band, making the audience feel like they're getting to talk to the band personally aswell as feel like they're talking to the band themselfs. As soon as the text opens, it immediently opens with "Superstars" already grabbing a majority of the audience. As the magazine consisntly uses jargon on a musical audience would know, they're also trying to promote the band to others that are not, by recurring the words that they are big and popular for a reason. As they're are a Emo, they have a picture of the lead singers giving emotion in one of the images when recording. Attaching emotion to the current audience that already know about them. Also they're trying to promote that they aren't as emotional as everyone thinks, they are trying to reach out to a new audience. Also around the spread are read titles, reinforcing the genre of the band, aswell as the bold "World Exclusive" implying that this is the only interview in any magazine with this band, either bring they're current fan audience to this magazine, and also the people who are not aware of the band and are interiged to why kerrang has a got a world exclusive with them.
